ive had to send my phone back 3 times!!! (motorola v360) this pos, messes up differently all three times. on top of that they try to make u feel like ur dumb. When i say ive tried everything ive tried every #$#% thing. Now im stuck with this phone and the only replacements i can get are even weaker phones. all i can do now is buy a better phone. Now im all for supportin tmobile but they arent givin much effort in helpin me beside resending me crap phone after crap phone. they send a new one but wut good does it do if it still end up bein a pos. tmobile and motorola for making, selling, and distributing crap products. anybody sellin?
A dilemma mobile phone companies need to address is the fact that most every @!#$ cell phone on the market is as fragile as a hollow egg.
Some clever, intelligent company should start producing cell phones of similar sizes to the current offerings but make them impact resistant, water resistant and shock resistant. I'm a mechanic. I keep my phone on me while I work. So far, so good. Too bad the flip action of the phone is buggered slightly due to a MINUTE trace of dirt in the hinge parts. The phone even feels fragile.
I want a durable, no bells or whistles, reliable phone. You think with all the technology and ability these companies have, not to mention their intense marketing and demographic analyzing ability they would have figured this @!#$ out already.
Construction. Mechanics. Tool and Die. Electricians. Plumbers. Any trade. Any harsh work environment. Pissy-ass Motorolla Razrs get owned in those conditions. Not everyone on a @!#$ cell phone works in a @!#$ bank..
I've gone through 4 phones. I've had a cell phone for about 4 years now. A phone a year is retarded.
i havent even dropped it or anything, spilled water on it etc.. i take good care of it, i dont charge it unecessarily, i do the basic things that i should for upkeep. yet they keep messing up. ive only had this problem with this motorola phone tho, i had a nokia for 3 yrs until it started, notice i said STARTED to crap out. my v360 is only a month or 2 old for the 3rd time.... and im dealin with problems
I know what u mean my Verizon phone i got with my plan didn't even make it a year with me in the auto body trade. Smacked it once off the frame machine and destroyed the outside screen, layin under a car for 3 hours and rollin over it in my pocket completely killed it finally. Now the phone i have now is one of those slider phones, now this thing ladys and gents. is a tough phone lol. My buddy has one and he fell down a mountain side, yes a 500 yard long mountain side while hunting, and the phone servived the fall, he wasn't so lucky couple broken bones and scatches. Does moterola have those phones for constuction workers? they look like hiking walkie-talkies
I NEED A 00-02 SUNFIRE RK SPORT REAR LIP AND A 95-99 SUNFIRE WW FRONT LIP PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF U WANNA SELL!!
i guess i always go for the cheaper (and basically, the free) nokia's offered from att/cingular. i take care of my phone, and honestly, i've never had a single problem.

Zdeuce4: There are ruggedized phones from a bunch of companies, but I'll put it this way: they're expensive as hell.
http://www.casiogzone.com/ <-- I think it's about $400
http://www.networkworld.com/community/?q=node/6300 <-- $279 through Sprint/Nextel after rebates.
Or you COULD just get a case for the phone, keep it out of your pocket, and try not to drop it too often. There's a reason they're so freakin' delicate... There's so much shyte stuffed in there, that the manufacturers need to use smaller, more delicate, and temp/humidity sensitive components. If you don't want to pop for a ruggedized phone, this would be my best advice. When your phone gets replaced, fixed or remanufactured, it goes through a QC procedure so you know you have a working phone. Go a little easier on your phones, and they'll treat you a little better.
MY bit of advice: get a basic phone without an MP3 player, phone... etc. Simple = cheap and usually more durable. Even better, don't buy a flip-phone.

lol, thnx guys, MY problem is not damaging it. i dont drop my phone, squish it, or scratch it. i always have kept it in a nice case. o yea, and the leather cases are crap too, ive gone thru three of those and they just fall apart. ive had real good experience with nokias, but i wanted somethin different
. my parents had motos, and they had problems too but i was hopin a newer one would be ok. i was wrong
I don't understand what the problems are that you're having with your phones. Are they falling apart? Not working? Not getting a signal? You say that you're phone keeps "messing up". What exactly is happening? I happen to have T-Mobile and a Razr now that I've had for about 6 months and I've never had a problem with either.
1st 360- would freeze constantly, always resetted itself, erased my info. i sent it back
2nd 360- freeze, erase, ring for no reason, not ring when called(tested myself with others)
3rd 360- doesnt read the memory card, will not play music, doesnt do task i bought it for, doesnt hold charge,
and ive gone thru two chargers that just sit in my room and i never bend them or anything
thats the bulk of it, i take pretty good care of it, i never drop it get it wet, etc... i just seem to not have good luck. they keep sending me a new one but it doesnt get any better
Hrmm... Couldn't tell you...

and these are just the minimum of problems. how can 3 different brand new phones suck so bad? and how did i end up with all 3? doesnt make any sense. i dont know about u guys but somethin that is supposed to be over $200 value should have some kind of sturdiness and longevity
The next time you get a phone don't get a 360.
well i already paid for it and i dont got $200 to drop on another. i get new ones cus its free. they do offer replacements of other types but those arent the same type and are usually worth $150 cheaper, so i would be majorly downgrading, pissing me off even more

I dropped my
Samsung D807 going 70 mph around a bend
on this mountain road on my motorcycle, it slid across the pavement and got lost in a ditch and it still survived. I didn't even find the phone but a Caltrans worker found it and turned it in. The case is beat up but everything works perfectly. Most rugged phone I've ever had by far!
Also, I thought Nextel made really big phones that were sturdy? I thought that was their thing?
---
i might have to look into a rugged phone then
My Razr through verizon is a pos. doesn't recieve calls, texts, voicemails, randomly turns off, Sometimes freezes, Hardly any signal anywhere that I go.

well i guess it is a per person basis on this one... cuz i have 2 of the "@!#$ty phone" qualifications.... T-Mobile, and a Motorola phone (RAZR V3),..... My phone gets service everywhere any other phone would, battery life as of NOW(over a year)is getting crappy but I blame myself for that mostly... Phone itself, the most sturdy feeling flip phone I have ever felt, owned, borrowed, used.. hands down.... As a matter of fact, I called T-Mobile today, asked when my contract was up, she said "Your old one is up January 27th, but your current contract is up in July, what this means is that if you are calling to change contracts you can do so at any time, if you want to cancel without termination fee, you must wait until July, and if you care calling so you can start a new plan and get a phone promotion, simply wait until January 28th and we will honor you on the 'new customer' phone promos, that includes the RAZR V3T with the MP3 Player and card reader" she basicaly answered every question i had in one call... T-Mobiles customer service is second to none, so I at least will asume getting ur phone replaced 3 times was no hassle? i have never had an issue with a newer moto phone, nor my t-mobile service... always pleased with both. and happy to stay with them for the years to come, and take them up on that new RAZR they got. .... guess in all the gripes, groans, and bitchiness, there is a satisfied customer in the bunch lol
On the other hand....you have other fingers.
I just bought a 20 inch widescreen ultrasharp flat pannel..I'm going to have to subscribe to the high quality porn places now......damn
I have a motorola phone too. Dont know the model off hand, but a charge will last about 2 days, with about 5-15 text messages sent and recieved. It'll lose service randomly and then the phone seems to lag right before it gets it back.
I think its mixed up rings before, espically for my alarm, and just all in all is a @!#$ty phone
I had an old LG, the thing was a tank. A charge could last me a good 4-5 days with a lot of talking on it. Phone lasted me 2 years, and now I'm regretting getting a camera phone, just another thing to go wrong and something to jack the price up.
yea it seems like the older ones lasted longer
with all the phones ive had over the years (motos) and getting my first LG (cheap one) due to not being to able to afford a nicer phone at the time, I can say it is probly the best phone ive had battery life and durablity wise, ill never go back to a moto.
tmobile doesnt use lg's
mostly motos and samsungs. my dad went thru 5 samsungs . i might have to man up and go with a different service company but i have awesome service from tmobile big problem is the phone
Or do the smart thing like smus, rich or me and just get an 20-30$ replacement if you know you are going to beat the @!#$ out of it. My LG still makes calls can text and receive images after being tossed down a small cliff on a bike ride, dropped in puddles, and stepped on repeatedly at a concert. It doesn't matter if you drop it or scratch it to high hell, and if it does die it probably deserved the rest. How important is having a damn camera in your phone anyway..
If you know somebody's going to be stupid drunk just bring the camera

.
the reason i dont take the replacements is cus they only have fm radios. i need the mp3 player on mine. my real mp3 player stopped working and im gettin that taken care of right now so i need the phone
yeah... but theres a working 252 in my house... thing is as old as dirt, been dropped more times than i care to count, been submerged, been used as a hockey puck, and still sounds as good as my lg.
