Seriously, can't everyone just STFU about your personal beliefs and just deal with the fact that other people have different beliefs and that you're all completely full of BS and are equal pains in the ass of your chosen diety or belief?

You figured out a way to disprove religion?
Oooh...do tell.
Rodimus Prime wrote:because its fun to disprove these morons that are too stupid to realize they are sheep
thats exactly what hes talking about
I'm with ya GAM!!!!
I myself am sick of it to
Rodimus Prime wrote:because its fun to disprove these morons that are too stupid to realize they are sheep
And this is exactly the kind of crap that causes the problems, that's the exact same thinking as the jesus freaks who feel the need to tell everyone else they are wrong and going to hell for not believing.
And for the record, I don't believe in religion or a higher power, I think its a bunch of crap for the weak minded to feel loved....
But NEVER have I felt the need, nor do I find it "fun", to try to discredit someone else's beliefs or call them stupid or sheep for believing. Maybe if I was a worthless tool I would think that it's cool.
As far as I'm concerned you can all believe whatever the hell you want, as long as your not trying to force your beliefs on me it makes no difference what you believe.
Hold on.. hold on...
Rod: I appreciate what you're saying, but realistically, the inverse is the same. What I was driving at is that arguing about it is like being in a one-legged ass-kicking contest. If you want to argue about it, you have no possible way to defend your stance because there's no empirical evidence one way or the other. It's truly the final frontier... the great unknown. And as of yet, no one has come back to complain.
I completely understand that you're not interested, but you're getting to the point of being as irritating as a Jehovah's Witness for pushing your ideals on others. I'm basically saying that in the interest of harmony, everyone ought to keep their ideas to themselves, and if someone wants something different or more importantly, asks you about your ideas, you can always gently brooch your ideas then. Remember Jbody4JC and how incredibly partisan and irritating he was? You're treading that line too.
BK3K I think Knoxfire wouldn't want a guy grabbing his junk, remember the yellow guy from Sin City? That's the kinda @!#$ I'm talkin' about...

true but the fact that some ppl do not see anything beyond a book written 2000 years ago who lived a different lifestyle and thought the world was flat with the education of a 2nd grader is far from solid evidence to live your life by
i find it humorous that some ppl put so much stock in it

look at pretty much any major war fought, all because of religion

WWI & WWII... Religion?
War of 1812?
War of the Roses?
Religion isn't the main reason for most wars, it's just thrown in for spice. At the heart of 99% of all wars is either Territory, money, resources, or all 3.

x2
religion is just an excuse for leaders to fight over more land/resources/power. I doubt there has ever been an a war that was authentically started over religious differences as the
real reason.
Be it over religion, nationality, ethnicity, etc on the surface - the root cause is ALWAYS the same.

I take a lot of stock in the Bible. I try to live my life based on the 10 Commandments and the ever popular "what would Jesus" do ideology. Is that so wrong? Would you call me stupid? A sheep?
As far as the religion wars go, Crusades in the only one that comes to mind right away...

explain the gun rights portion please.
Look GAM is right, lets argue about things that matter instead -
Like blonds, brunettes, or redheads?
Shaven or unshaven?
You know, important stuff.

WW2 Hitler sought to eliminate all jews - id say that counts
War of 1812 was nothing but a continuation of the revolutionary war, which was fought for America's independence, why did ppl come from Europe in the 1600s? To avoid religious persecution!
I have no idea what the war of the roses even is

Canada won the war of 1812
Rodimus Prime wrote:WW2 Hitler sought to eliminate all jews - id say that counts
Really? He sought to eliminate his maternal Grand mother? EGAD!!!
You also realize that he wanted to eliminate Jews, Pols, Slavs, Czechs, Dissidents (of any religion including Catholics) Gypsies, Socialists, Communists and basically... well.. anyone that opposed him. Realize that all these people died in internment camps, not just Jews.

Not so...
1812 was a war of aggression on other peaceful British and French colonies. Not to mention that it didn't end up changing the border AT ALL, you also had the strange part of a lot of north eastern US colonies preferring to supply the Loyalists. The war of 1812 was an attempt to grab Upper and Lower Canada... an attempt that got swatted back. For all the noble ideals of "freedom" you were brainwashed with in grade-school, you also have to understand the danger of empire.
But for that you need only look at why the whitehouse is actually white. I'm sure it was a lovely supper.
Yeah, Loyalists and Natives totally won the War of 1812.

Oh.. again... no.
The Puritans were highly critical of the King, and absconded from Britain to go to America and colonize... not because they wanted what was good and just... they just wanted to have their religious freedom to force their religious ideals on everyone else in the area. Think about that for a minute: THEY WERE SO UPTIGHT
THE BRITISH KICKED THEM OUT.
The rest that went to the colonies did so for 2 reasons: Freedom caste handicapping, and opportunity to make money in prospecting, timber, fur trapping and other natural resources. Religious freedom didn't rank too high... ask the indians.. if you can find them.
