It looks great exept for that hood. The scoop looks as if it was just stuck on there. I hope they refine it a little.
The body kit on the other pre-production models looks better but in this concept i like the hp difference (beating SRT4's hehe) and i REALLY like the exhaust and the placement of the exhaust but the rims are no good (the pre-production looks better) and if the hood scoop is functional, then i can deal, i like hoods like that. Maybe make it alittle bit wider but its pretty good lookin.
OK well i just read something about the cobalt and i am curious... so if anyone has any info to back this up or has the right info i would appriciate it...... thanks in advance...
it says that the curb weight is 2850 and that the 1/4 @ 14.9@95.5???
0-60 @ 6.4?

The curb weight is 2991 lbs. and the 0-60 and 1/4 mile is correct but i think that 1/4 mile time should be a little faster, maybe more like 14.7 or 14.6, mid 14's sound closer, especially since SRT4's do 0-60 in 5.8 (.6 seconds faster) and their 1/4 mile is 13.6, i figure the cobalt's will be making mid to mid-high 14's, i mean my SVT focus ran a 15.3 with no SC and it had 170 hp and 145 tq NOT to the wheels and the cobalt ss has 205 hp and 200 tq to the wheels.
That concept car is AWESOME!!! Now if they actually come through with it I'll personally be very amazed. And if the pricetag is at 20g's or less like the SRT-4 I don't know what I'll do. Wait yes I do, I'd go nuts, sell everything and buy one like Matt stated above. I've been looking into the new Z lately, but the 272 would change that. Big time!

We don't have the keys so I can't get inside or pop the hood, but I'm spending every night standing beside that thing this week at the Toronto International Autoshow so I can certainly get some pics.

I crawled around a bit under the Ion Redline though and noticed that the rear caliper bracket appears to be a welded part of the trailing axle so anyone planning to do a rear disc swap onto the base model delta cars will probably have to swap over the entire axle along with the hubs and other stuff. That kinda sucks.

How similar is the tranny to the one in our cars? Would the LSD from the Cobalt drop right into any other j-body or delta Getrag tranny?
i thought the lsd only came in the cobalt ss, which uses a different tranny (saab spec getrag?). i think only the regular cobalt tranny is like the j's. i have the ragular getrag in my ion if anyone in the nw indiana area wants to compare.
